The hypocrisy of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wearing this dress “Tax the Rich” is how she is financially capitalizing on her slogan or what we should call her marketing “Brand”. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also posed with a handbag designed by Aurora James with the phrase “Tax the Rich” which retails for $995.00. You can also find on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ fund raising page a T-Shirt for $27.00 and a hoodie for $58.00 with the phrase “Tax the Rich”.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a true advocate for the working class, especially Aurora James a Canadian-Born designer of color that owes back taxes to the United States. The other working-class people in Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s district should know that the Met Gala charges $35,000.00 per ticket. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was served at the Met Gala canapes of collard greens, hot chow on coconut buttermilk cornbread, black rice porcini arancini with pumpkin Calabrian chili sauce, and a watermelon tart with smoked yuzu soy on a Panipuri cracker. Now to start the meal Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was served a refreshing salad with farm-to-table ingredients. A main dish of creamy barley with corn, pickled turnips, and roasted maitake, followed by apple mousse and apple confit with a calvados glaze. I am sure the working-class people of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ district will be able to find each one of these ingredients to replicate the Met Gala meal in their local bodega and supermarket.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was right at home with the ultra-rich and famous other attendees of the Met Gala. Every person that voted for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez should remember they elected one of the most disingenuous, self-serving individuals to hold office. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, you fooled the residents of your district once and was elected to office on good faith, I hope you do not fool them again.
